This historically interesting brooch was made in Russia at the turn of the 20th Century, shortly before the Bolshevik Revolution. It is shaped as an Imperial Russian Army bebut knife, rendered in 875 grade silver. A Cyrillic word,"????" translating to ??Caucasus,?? is written across the knife in niello enamel. Niello details adorn the curvaceous piece. The brooch secures with the c-clasp common to the era, the clasp bears a Kazan hallmark for the year 1908.
